FS2004 Freeware Beech D18S VC , Passenger & Cargo Models
Awesome Beech 18 by Milton Shupe, Scott Thomas, and André Folkers. Yes this is freeware, but since we at WoS are more interested in fine aircraft and not necessarily where they came from - I decided to put this package together for myself as well as upload here and share. All Files were found at Avsim, and all are freeware. I saw a restored Beechcraft D18 fly at a local airshow a week ago and fell in love with it, and had to have one. This model flies well manually or with AP (although antiquated instrumentation - but old plane lovers would expect no less than original instrumentation), and will follow a flightplan using FSNav with Ease.Honestly this plane blows away the Aeosoft Beech 18 included in the Martha's Vinyard Package available at WoS...and it didn't cost anybody a dime. It lacks the float model, but anyone who is good with GMax can remedy that. I'm not. I estimate the range of this plane at close to 800 - 1,000nm - my last flight of 176nm had 84% fuel remaining after landing & taxi. Your range will depend on climb rate and how you fly it.
